Resistance Training Enhances Renal Function in Experimental Renal Ischemia-Reperfusion

چکیده
Acute kidney injury (AKI) resulting from ischemia-reperfusion (IRI) is among the most common complications in hospitalized patients. In recent years, it has been argued that exercise an approach to attenuate impairments caused by AKI. The purpose of this study was investigate whether eight weeks resistance training (RT) protective effects on IRI. Thirty male Wistar rats (210-230 g) were randomly divided into four groups, including RT+ISC (n=7), RT (n=8), ISC and sham (n=8). Animals underwent RT, 48 hours after last session, ischemia (45 min) reperfusion (24 h) induced. Then animals sacrificed, blood tissue samples collected measure creatinine (Cr), urea nitrogen (BUN), damage score (KTDS), weight (KW). results showed IRI a significant increase Cr, BUN, KTDS, KW (p-value <0.05), while decreased severity BUN remarkably. (p≤0.05). however, did not Overall, findings our provide evidence can IRI-induced AKI considering enhanced biomarkers; However, further research should be conducted make certain about training, especially RT.

Berberine Ameliorates Renal Functional Disorders and Pulmonary Tissue Injury Following Renal Ischemia/Reperfusion in Rats
Introduction: This study investigated the effect of berberine on renal dysfunction and histological damages of the lung induced by renal ischemia/ reperfusion at an early stage. Methods: There were four experimental groups of adult male rats (n=7). Seven days before induction of ischemia, the Ber+I/R group received oral (by gavage) berberine (15 mg/kg/day) while the I/R group received distil...
متن کاملAmelioration of rat renal ischemia/reperfusion injury by L-Nil
Introduction: Ischemia/reperfusion (IR) injury involves a complex interrelated sequence of events. High levels of nitric oxide (NO) are generated with inducible form of nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) leading to the renal IR injury and glutathione (GSH) depletion. The present study was designed to investigate the effect of L-Nil (N6- (1-Iminoethyl)-L- lysine.hydrochloride), a selective inhibito...
متن کاملThe role of L-arginine and aerobic exercise in experimental renal ischemia reperfusion injury in male and female rats
Introduction: Renal ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury due to reactive oxygen species (ROS) formation is the main cause of acute kidney damage. Nitric oxide (NO) biosynthesis and oxidative stress are closely related to the pathogenesis of renal I/R injury. This study was undertaken to determine the effects of L-arginine (L-arg) as NO donor and aerobic exercise (EX) and also the combination of L-...

Acute renal failure results in significant morbidity and mortality, yet renal failure is not the usual cause of death in the clinical situation. We have previously reported systemic increases in the inflammatory mediators tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) and interleukin-1 (IL-1) after renal ischemia in the mouse. In the present study, an animal model of bilateral renal ischemia was used ...

Tissue hypoxia has been demonstrated, in both the renal cortex and medulla, during the acute phase of reperfusion after ischemia induced by occlusion of the aorta upstream from the kidney. However, there are also recent clinical observations indicating relatively well preserved oxygenation in the nonfunctional transplanted kidney. To test whether severe acute kidney injury can occur in the abse...
